MBABANE - Over 20 emaSwati collectively contributed to part of the staggering E100 million generated at the recent Chris Brown concerts.

The American superstar performed two sold-out shows at FNB Stadium on December 14 and 15, making history by selling out the largest stadium in South Africa, which boasts a capacity of 94,736. Both nights were met with overwhelming enthusiasm from fans, further solidifying the artist's immense popularity in the region.

The minimum ticket price for the event was set at E600. When this figure is multiplied by the stadium's full attendance, it amounts to an impressive E56.8 million for a single show. With two performances, it is estimated that Chris Brown grossed a minimum of E113 million. Among the throngs of fans were over 20 emaSwati who significantly contributed to the American singer's earnings that day.

Notable attendees included Tenele Dlamini, Lindo Dube, Noxolo Motha, Nolwazi Mhlongo, and Nelile Mhlongo, among others. Tenele Dlamini remarked, “The whole concert was epic. From the setup to the performance by the G.O.A.T. himself. For me, this was a dream come true. If he ever comes back, I'm definitely attending.” Lindo Dube echoed this sentiment, stating, “It was easily the most incredible experience. The man is truly a superstar and delivered an outstanding performance. He showcased all the songs one could possibly desire, and his dance moves were electrifying! Chris Brown is an entertainer and undoubtedly a G.O.A.T.”

Nolwazi Mhlongo added, “I have always wanted to attend a Chris Brown concert, and when it was announced that he would be performing in South Africa, I ensured I was there. It was the best experience ever. I cherished every moment, and I wish it had never ended. Chris Brown is a phenomenal performer, and he sang all my favourite songs, especially 'Residuals.'”

Chris Brown's performances were a dazzling spectacle that captivated the audience from start to finish. He opened with high-energy tracks that set the tone for the evening, including "Run It!", "No Guidance", and "Loyal". As the concert progressed, he continued to enthral the crowd with his extensive setlist, which featured fan-favourites such as "Forever", "With You", "Go Crazy", and "Residuals". Each song was accompanied by his signature dance moves, impressive choreography, and a vibrant stage presence that kept the energy levels soaring throughout the night.

Chris Brown’s remarkable achievement in selling out FNB Stadium not only highlights his global appeal but also marks a significant milestone in the South African music scene, showcasing the power of live entertainment to unite fans in celebration of music.
