‘GET PERMITS FOR HOSTING CROSSOVER SHOWS’
MBABANE - The Eswatini Events Managers and Promoters Association (EEMPA) has issued a reminder that event organisers planning to host crossover shows this festive season must obtain the necessary permits.
In an interview with Banele Dlamini, an EEMPA member, he stated their offices are open for event organisers to approach them for permits.
“This is a reminder because we are now seeing a number of crossover events in the kingdom. Everyone hosting a crossover show must get a permit from the association,” Dlamini said. Dlamini also praised event organisers for maintaining a peaceful atmosphere within the events industry this year.
Significant
“Honestly, everything has been going well this year concerning events. There are no significant issues that have arisen, and we really appreciate it,” he noted. The Eswatini Events Managers and Promoters Association (EEMPA) aims to regulate all events within the country. Established with several objectives, the association seeks to foster mutual cooperation and respect among event managers and promoters, organise training seminars and secure sponsorship.
The EEMPA policy stipulates that event promoters are responsible for the successful planning, co-ordination and execution of events that meet both goals and expectations. “The event promoter is responsible for negotiating contracts with service providers, monitoring event activities for compliance with regulations and conducting post-event evaluations to identify areas for improvement,” reads a section of the policy. EEMPA encourages event organisers to comply with these regulations, not only to ensure the quality of their events but also to enhance the overall experience for attendees.
Opportunity
With the festive season upon us, the demand for crossover shows is expected to rise, creating an excellent opportunity for local talent and promoters. Additionally, the association believes that proper planning and co-ordination are essential to avoid potential conflicts and misunderstandings that could mar the festive spirit. With various crossover events scheduled across the kingdom, from music concerts to cultural performances, the EEMPA urges all promoters to act responsibly. This not only ensures compliance with the local regulations but also uplifts the reputation of Eswatini as a vibrant events destination.
