EVENTS LAUNCH FOR ORGANISERS PLANNED FOR THIS YEAR
MBABANE – The Eswatini Events Managers and Promoters Association (EEMPA) has announced plans to host an events launch specifically designed for event organisers this year. Banele Dlamini, the Secretary of EEMPA, made the announcement during an interview with this publication, where he discussed the association’s objectives for the year.
“This year, we aim to organise an event launch for the organisers; it will resemble an event organisers’ day.
Crucial
“We strongly encourage all event organisers to attend, as their participation is crucial. We are still finalising the details regarding the date and we will share more information soon,” he stated. Dlamini further emphasised the importance of collaboration, revealing that EEMPA will work alongside the Eswatini National Council of Arts and Culture (ENCAC) to educate event organisers about the complexities involved in event planning. “In addition to the launch, we intend to hold an event organisers’ indaba, where we will facilitate discussions and share knowledge.
Comprehend
“Our goal is to help individuals and event organisers understand the logistics associated with organising successful events. “It is vital that they comprehend the reasons for registering with our association,” he said. The planned events launch and subsequent indaba aim not only to galvanise the local events industry, but also to create a supportive network among organisers.
Dlamini noted that the events sector plays a significant role in promoting culture and entertainment within Eswatini. “By providing a platform for organisers to connect, we hope to strengthen the industry and enhance the quality of events held in the country,” he added. In recent years, Eswatini has seen a rise in various events, ranging from music festivals to cultural showcases. However, Dlamini pointed out that many organisers often face challenges due to a lack of resources and support.
Succeed
“This is why our initiatives are so important. We want to empower organisers with the knowledge and tools they need to succeed,” he explained. The EEMPA encourages all stakeholders in the events industry to get involved and take advantage of the resources available through the upcoming initiatives. As further details are released in the coming weeks, organisers are urged to mark their calendars and prepare for an insightful and engaging experience.
