MBABANE – Popular South African gospel group Avante will be back in the country in June courtesy of ACASWA.

ACASWA is an umbrella association for local gospel artists called the Association of Christian Artists in Swaziland.
ACASWA President Mzwakhe Myeni said: “We are planning an all night gospel gig that will include performances from gospel artists under ACASWA as well as Avante who have also agreed to be part of our show.”

Pray

He said the show would be held on the weekend of the first week of June and its main aim would be for gospel artists to pray for the success of the 2010 FIFA World Cup to be held in South Africa.
“We want to pray for crime and road accidents during the tournament and Avante have agreed to be part of this initiative,” said Myeni.

He said they would also invite transport operators and the Minister of Transport Ntuthuko Dlamini to also be part of the event because they wanted to preach mainly good driving during the duration of the World Cup.
Myeni added that the event would be held at the Mavuso Trade Centre.
