‘ISITHA’ AUDITIONS: A DREAM OPPORTUNITY

The Eswatini creative community is abuzz with excitement as Black Brain Pictures, the award-winning production company behind South Africa’s number-one telenovela, ‘Isitha: The Enemy’, brings its audition process to local shores: This thrilling development follows the resounding success of the Eswatini Arts Summit and marks a monumental moment for the country’s burgeoning entertainment industry. Mandla N, the visionary director often likened to ‘South Africa’s Tyler Perry’ has announced that the auditions for ‘Isitha: The Enemy’ Season 3 will take place in Eswatini.

Known for his knack for unearthing fresh talent, Mandla N expressed his enthusiasm for this venture. “What’s yours will never miss you. If this is your moment, come through. Bring me raw talent and I will do the rest,” he said. Talented actors and actresses from across the country are encouraged to seize this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to perform in front of celebrated industry professionals.  Among the panel of experts will be the legendary Sello Maake ka Ncube, a revered figure in African television and theatre.

The auditions will take place at the Eswatini National Council of Arts and Culture (ENCAC) offices in Manzini on Friday, February 21, 2025, starting at 8am. Aspiring participants are urged to register at their local centres as soon as possible to secure a spot. With a high turnout anticipated, punctuality will be key. ENCAC Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Stanley Dlamini, has expressed his delight at witnessing the tangible outcomes of the Eswatini Arts Summit.

“We are thrilled that our Arts Summit has already borne fruit and the appreciate Black Brain Pictures’ commitment to this promise. “This is an incredible chance for our local actors to showcase their abilities on a global platform. “We want to see our creative industries thrive and this is a significant step in that direction,” Dlamini said while further emphasising on the importance of such opportunities in nurturing Eswatini’s creative talent.

Reflecting on this milestone, Mandla N shared his hopes for the auditions. “We are delighted to come to Eswatini to discover new talent and potentially open doors for them in the industry. ‘Isitha, The Enemy’ has been a remarkable platform for actors, both seasoned and new. I’m confident that Eswatini will deliver the next big star.“ This is more than just an audition, we are here to change the game forever,” added Mandla with conviction.
