9 Limkokwing students join Lethokusha Film
MBABANE – Nine Limkokwing University students have joined the Lethokusha Film Academy for this year’s internship programme.
The students under the Film and TV department have joined the internship programme starting from August 5 to November 1, 2013.
Abejide Michael, the Director of the film institute, said that they accepted their proposed letter of internship because they had a vision to promote and improve the Film and Television Industry in the country.
He said the students had the opportunity to showcase their talents in their area of their specialisation and the institution was ready to assist with all they can during the internship programme.
He said they were happy to have an institution such as the Limkokwing University of Creative Technology and they had the willingness to work with it not only for the internship but for other future plans as well.
“The students were happy after watching some of the projects that had been executed by Lethokusha Film Production in the last two years which include the movies ‘Legal Wife’, ‘Keep My Love’, and the latest one ‘Sivulwane Sengati’,” he said.
Nosisa Ngwenyama, a representative of the students, thanked the directors and the Management of Lethokusha Film Academy for allowing them to learn from their magic hands and for opening doors for aspiring local filmmakers and upcoming television producers and directors.
Ngwenyama said this would pave a way for them as they would be entering into the industry soon.Abejide added that Lethokusha Film Academy’s vision was to produce educative, informative and entertaining programmes for the community in a language that was generally acceptable to the members of the community.
