MBABANE- The Miss Teen2013/14 beauty pageant eliminations date has been brought forward to Friday August 23 at the Happy Valley Hotel, Ezulwini.

This is due to the fact that the national elections are scheduled for Saturday, August 24, which was the initial date set for the event.
Miss Teen Spokesperson Lungile Mdluli said the changing of the date came after the realisation that the national elections were to be held on the same Saturday.

“We would like to apologise for the oversight. We have decided to bring the date to Friday since Saturday is set aside for the national primary elections,” Mdluli said. She said the event would start at 1pm to cater for pupils, who might want to come support their friends. “The 12 finalists will be chosen, by the judges with the help of the public. We will bring 20 girls and choose the 12 from them. We have decided to make the entry fee affordable. This is to cater for the pupils who would like to support their friends who entered for the pageant. The public is invited to the event,” she said.

Mdluli said they had 63 entries from all the regions. However, they trimmed them down to 20 girls which they would be choosing from on the day. Tickets to the event are available with the director at E15 each.
Mdluli invited designers who would like to showcase their designs during the event to contact the organisers on 76079967 or 76608563.
