MBABANE - Swaziland Health and Communications Non-Governmental Organisation, Lusweti will be launching an album titled ‘Sitawuphumelela – Songs of Hope’.

The event is scheduled for House on Fire on Saturday September 7.
Entrance fee is E50.
The album has been recorded and produced by Lusweti as part of their ongoing campaign to create positive Social Behaviour Change in Swaziland.

“This has been a real labour of love working with several Swazi artists to create songs that address social issues in Swaziland and to inspire positive change.  Artists such as Bholoja, Floewe, Masikane, KrTC, Psycholution, Qibho and Sands, Blacknote, Dusty and Stones, Buddy Masango, Prodigal Sonz and more contributed to this project,” Producer of the album, Myles Mumford said.

Most of the artists featured on the album will render performances and a short presentation from Lusweti will be made.
“We hope to raise money through the event to support Lusweti’s ongoing social programmes including our very popular radio show on SBIS – WizeUp!” Mumford said.

Issues

“The aim of the album is to create a dialogue about social issues in a different way. It addresses issues through song so that people may listen and act on the advice,” Mumford said.
He said some of the songs are about good decision making, sexuality and being a good father.

“We hope to bring this album to a wide audience across Swaziland and to inspire conversation around the social issues discussed on the album.” Mumford said. He urged the public to attend the launch as it would be a night of great entertainment.
“It should be a cracker of a night, not only of great music but also comedy, poetry, prizes and a short presentation from Lusweti,” Mumford said.
