ONLY TWO PROPOSALS FOR BEAUTY PAGEANTS LICENCES
MBABANE – Three weeks after the SNCAC opened the tendering process for the local beauty pageants only two formal proposals have been received.
The proposals are for Miss Swaziland and Miss Teen.
SNCAC stands for the Swaziland National Council of Arts and Culture.
Pageants
The two pageants seem to be the popular pageants as most of those interested in being part of the directors have been calling the SNCAC offices requiring details on these pageants.
Stanley Dlamini, SNCAC Chief Executive Officer, said there were only two proposals that have been received by his office.
“There are a number of people who have shown interest in the pageants but they have not yet submitted their proposals. Each time they call the office, we inform them that we can only start talking to them once there has been a formal proposal in our office,” he said.
Response
Dlamini said they were pleased with the response they were getting from the public as there were already two proposals that have been brought to their office.
“Those who still have an interest of submitting their proposals are welcome as we are still accepting them. It is not only these two pageants as there are others which include the likes of Miss Cultural Heritage,” he said.
Proposals
Dlamini said they would be accepting proposals from those who are interested up until the time they host the Beauty Pageant Indaba.
“When we host the Indaba we will be able to determine the closing date. For now those who are interested can continue submitting their proposals. The public will be informed when the closing date will be,” he said.
