MATSAPHA – South African music icon Nqubeko Mbatha was very impressed with the newly-opened Madala Lodge.
Mbatha was booked at the newly-opened lodge which is situated opposite the University of Swaziland.

He was in the country to perform at the Intervarsity Games gospel concert which took place at the Kwaluseni Campus.
During an interview upon his arrival, Mbatha revealed how he first complained to the organisers about not being booked in a five-star hotel. However, the moment he set foot inside his room he was very impressed.

“I just sent my wife a message telling her how beautiful this place is. I really wish she was here. You see I was expecting the normal bed and television but this room is family-friendly which is why I wish my beautiful wife was here. I know for a fact that I will be invited to Swaziland again and I will make sure that I use this place,” he said while posing next to a classy minibar inside the room.

Commenting on the invitation to perform in the country, the former member of Joyous Celebration said it was an honour for him.
“I’ve been here in Swaziland many times but I have never been invited as Nqubeko Mbatha so I am really happy to be here. It’s good to be invited by people I don’t know. I have visited different churches here and I can proudly say that Swaziland is a beautiful place,” he said.
