MBABANE – Local songbird Nomzamo ‘Zaza’ Dlamini has ventured into acting as she has landed a role in a South African comedy movie.
The talented musician is currently based in South Africa where she is shooting scenes for the movie titled ‘Jackpot Mathambo’.

Dlamini said she was very excited about spreading her wings into acting and cannot wait for local fans to see the final product.
Mingle
“Being an entertainer I mingle a lot and during one of the many events I attend I was introduced to a couple of film directors and script writers who have made a name for themselves in the SA film industry,” says Zaza.
A few days later she received a call for a casting and was immediately signed for the role.

“The Executive Producer Thapelo Mokoena was very impressed by my acting and I was immediately signed to play the role of the dramatic ‘baby mama’ in the movie,” says Dlamini.
Mokoena is a South African actor and television presenter best known for presenting the first season of the South African version of the reality competition Fear Factor, in 2005.

In 2006 he was cast as the presenter of the first season of Fear Factor South Africa, which aired on e.tv.
He was one of the celebrities to compete in the sixth season of the SABC3 reality competition Strictly Come Dancing, in 2013.

Jackpot

The upcoming movie is about a man who wins a jackpot and immediately his family and pregnant girlfriend played by Zaza start making ridiculous demands.
The team is expected to wrap up shooting end of April and will be aired on Mzansi Magic on a date to be announced.

However, Zaza made it clear that her first love will always be singing so her fans must not think she has diverted to film.
“I will always put my singing career first but as an artist it is always an achievement to diversify. That is why I am proud to be part of such a big movie production in South Africa as it hoists my Swazi flag much higher,” she added.

it's acknowledgeable that we do have Swazi who keep the Swazi Flag flyng even in other countries. Act is particulary a good start for Zaza. Keep it up girl. You really are a driven person.
