SA’S KO FOR COMEDY AND COCKTAIL NIGHT

MBABANE – Local Events Management Company BYumie will host a Comedy and Cocktail Night.

The company will also run a competition dubbed ‘Battle for a Collabo’ thus local rappers stand a chance to collaborate with the South African hip hop artist.

This will take place tomorrow at the Manzini popular hangout spot The Gallery.
“KO whose real name is Ntokozo Mdluli of Teargas, a South African born hip hop giant will be performing during the Comedy and Cocktail night. During the event, we are giving Swazi future rappers and hip hoppers the opportunity to take their career to a new level. We will have a first ever head-to-head hip hop battle, and the winner, determined by KO, will win a collaboration with him,” confirmed Phumlani Umie Hlatjwako the host.

Hlatjwako explained that the artist who will win on the night will get two winning options. These are to collaborate with KO as part of their album or to get a full management contract for a full album with local management company events BYumie.
Artists who would like to join the competition will have to buy the competition ticket which costs E100 at the Real Image Compushop, next to Pick and Pay.  

Deadline for entries is on Thursday (today).
“For the Comedy Night All you need to do is to laugh the night away. That’s the tag line. We have Mzansi’s loved comedian on stage and actor Siya B who also plays Xolani on Generations. Local acts such as Gedlembane, Mr. Kangaroo will also share the stage with him,” he said.

“Because of the venue size there will be limitations to the entrance as only 500 people will be allowed entry. And the first 30 hip hop artists will get a chance to be part of the elimination battle,” he said.
