MBABANE – Things are beginning to get tasty at House on Fire! All pans and pots are heating up already for the annual food festival tomorrow.

Malkerns Rotary Club spokesperson Khetho Dlamini said: “We are all so excited about presenting this food festival and the over 15 confirmed participants ranging from restaurants, bakeries to delicatessen businesses are equally excited about this wonderful opportunity to present their signature dishes and bring their foods closer to the people of Swaziland! They will be offering delicious foods ranging from traditional Swazi cuisine, delicious home cooked fare to Asian and European fusion.”

Food coupons are available to purchase at the door and can be exchanged for the individual food dishes on offer.
The food businesses will offer their dishes in small portions easily affordable to all costumers rather than fully priced main courses as you would normally pay at a restaurant.

This will allow everyone to taste foods and dishes they may not normally choose or never knew about.
Dlamini continued: “In addition we have secured the brilliant Swazi band Luveve, who will play for us throughout the day, making this an event where you can spend the whole day at. The House on Fire dance floor and outside stage will be transformed into café style seating areas for everyone to come, relax, soak up the atmosphere and of course sample foods of all different varieties.”

Rotarian Dlamini emphasised: “The Rotary Club of Malkerns is organising this unique annual event not only to bring together the food businesses of our Kingdom and but also to raise funds to finance our successful mentorship programme “Hawane Project” for disadvantaged adolescents and children with HIV. Our experience arising from these activities, has led us to the recognition that these youth require consistent and constant

mentoring and monitoring by adult role models, until they have reached a point in their lives, where they are better able to take care of themselves.”
He added: “We hope to see you all on the day, bring your family and friends and of course a healthy appetite!”
This event is being sponsored by SEC, Ngwane Mills, The Gables, Autozone and FNB.

Doors open at 11am while the event will run till 6pm and entrance fee is E50.
