45yrs of peace

Mkhulu greets you all. How is everyone, how was Umhlanga, ishowu ihamba njani yona?

Mkhulu had a fantabolous long weekend as I managed to attend umhlanga and the ceremony had me wishing it would never end.
What with beautiful imbali singing traditional inspirational songs; seeing His Majesty King Mswati III and the number of tourists, ngathula ngamamatseka.
I felt proud seeing tourists from all over the world who had come to witness our traditional ceremony.

Commemorated

Speaking of Umhlanga I am tempted to comment about the Independence holiday which was commemorated yesterday, the 45th anniversary. Mkhulu is happy that we commemorated 45 years of freedom in peace.
Kulamanye emave kundzima, Syria for example; there are millions of refugees in Lebanon due to the fighting in that Middle East country.
What is more worrying is that they are accused of using chemical weapons by the USA.
If it was not for Russia urging the USA to provide evidence that indeed Syria is using chemical weapons ngabe nyalo Obama soyiphakile imphi.
Niyabona ke batukulu tsine lakaNgwane we must appreciate our monarch and remain loyal. Kundzima langephandle.

In starting line-up njalo nje

I am going to say this. I am nothing without Nathi ‘Mdoc-kies’ Hlophe.
In fact he has come back and so far I am impressed with his performance on the Whyless.
One would expect him to be tired what with him losing in the Primary Election with famous Whyless listener Queen Sho-ngwe.
Mkhulu hopes you will be successful in the 2018 elections. I don’t know if it’s wise to congratulate Meshack Makhubu on progressing to the Secondary Elections, hhayi kabi but we all know the reasons.

Anyway I was on about the player who walks in the starting lineup after an injury. In soccer when a player has sustained an injury, a couch replaces him.
So was the case with SBIS management when Mdockies was nominated to run for elections, they replaced him with Si-hlabani.
This opened space in the graveyard slot and that is where Nkonotja was slotted in.

I wonder what is going to happen now that Mdockies officially claimed his spot on the afternoon drive.
Both Sihlabani and Nkonotja were doing a great job while Mdockies was away. Let us wait and see but I would cry to lose Sihlabani or Nkonotja.

Basop on the tututu sound S’gagu

Lungile ‘S’gagu’ Magagula is going too far with this. S’gagu let me help you as I am aware kutsi awuboni kutsi kukhona lokusha.
She let the tututu sound after a caller and this has brutal effect on my already old eardrums. So try to cut off the caller immediately as she/he ends the call.
On another note I appreciate the effort you have displayed lately. Uyati I noticed that you read this column by yours truly.
Your small talk is getting there but there is room for improvement.

Here is the trick about electronic media; its current and that calls for one working in those circles to be always informed on almost all issues.
The other day S’gagu made me laugh like laugh out loud when she said on the call-in program-me stimela “Asengikunikete inombolo yami off-air”.
She said it thinking she was off-air and as a result we heard her and nami senginayo inombolo yeS’gagu. Ikwentani lemishini yebelungu yeMtfombeni.

Cut on vernacular on English channel ‘JT’

Sandton “JT” Maber has a serious problem; he likes to speak in siSwati in the English channel. Yati I have being noticing for some time that this is becoming a bad habit and it has to stop.
My sugar levels have risen such that the other day I fell from my wooden stool. Mind you inhlaba or my shubaba which I normally take to heal my sickness sekute these days.

Another broadcaster who raises my BP levels is Gcebile ‘Whitehippo’ when she plays this very same song by Nicki Minaj ft Sean Kingston; I warned her about.
She tells us the wrong title of the song. Please can you say the right title and I know this time you will do things right.
I am also putting my money on her hoping she will revive the programme country and western music.

Explanation

Speaking of music pro-grammes it really baffles the old man as to what happened to the MLK show which used to be on Friday 4pm?
Lindelwa ‘Lindz’ Mafa better have a good explanation for the followers of the show.
However, I would have not done justice to Lindz if I forget to acknowledge her effort in producing a fresh show of Swazi Rhythm every Tuesday at 5pm.
It’s always fresh with new upcoming artists.

Mine yeLindz I like this song which tells a story of an abusive stepmother.
Hhayi lomfana his lyrics are epic as hip hop rappers say. Good one there and lo and behold old as I am mkhulu is thinking of producing a strictly rap album. Watch this space...
