After over six years of entertaining people through dance, MJ Boyz’s Sifiso Gama has met his death. Gama was only 30 years old. According to reliable sources, the once energetic and versatile dancer died yesterday morning at 1am after a long illness. Gama’s stepmother, who preferred to be called Make Gama confirmed his death and stated that he drew his last breath at Mbabane Government Hospital. “He was on the road to recovery so we thought. On Saturday, he had quite a few visitors, including his dance crew and he was making conversation with them and laughing, yet those were his final hours. On Sunday, he went silent and did not utter a word the whole day, and then we lost him at 1am in the morning yesterday,” she said. She highlighted that the Gama family has not yet met for the funeral arrangements. The deceased leaves behind a daughter. Departed MJ Boyz was a three member group which consisted of the now late Sifiso Gama, Sita Phakathi who departed from the group at an early stage and Sithembiso Magagula who was popularly known as ‘Toothless’. The dance group was formed in 2007 and was liquidated in 2014 when members split to pursue their personal careers. MJ Boyz were popular, especially among high school pupils in the beginning of their career but soon corporate giants started inviting them for their events.
