Times Of Swaziland: THANK YOU ESWATINI FOR AN AMAZING NIGHT – NOTHANDO THANK YOU ESWATINI FOR AN AMAZING NIGHT – NOTHANDO ================================================================================ BY PHESHEYA KUNENE on 15/10/2018 04:08:00 EZULWINI – Gospel sensation Nothando Hlophe is hoping to wake up from her amazing dream. However, she realised the success of her second album and DVD launch was real. While trying to put together a message for her fans, Hlophe said she was at a loss for words to describe the amazing night she had with her fans during the fully-packed launch. With the weather showing its ugly head, the gospel artist said she did not press any panic buttons and rightly so as gospel music lovers came in numbers to fill up the Sibane Hotel hall, nothing could have stopped them from dancing the night away with their favourite gospel star. Coming on stage, Hlophe gave a staller performance during her two-set structured performances where she looked angelic in the two outfits she unveiled on the night. Before her spirited performance, poet Majaha Nkonyane paved the way with three powerful poems, while host Thando Makhaphela also proved to be a force to be reckoned with on stage. She was flawless as she interacted with the crowd and wowed with a few songs as well. The vocally-gifted singer introduced her solid performance with the song “Ngenelela – Lord we invite you”, which sent a clear message to the crowd that they were in for an exciting night. The worship song moved the full house. Even Eswatini Mobile’s Gciniwe Fakudze and African Alliance’s CEO Nelisiwe Mabuza said the song touched them. “The show was great. The songs being sung are amazing. Nothando is such a talent. The host was also stunning, I am impressed with her,” Fakudze said after the show. Music Business Consultant Dumisani Motsamai first started by saluting Leserato Events, then moved on to praise Hlophe for putting on a great show. Spirit of Praise’s Precious Mosotho also said she was proud of Hlophe for delivering such an amazing show. “Eswatini is blessed, Nothando is gold for this country, she is amazing. We are so blessed to have her as a sister. My favourite song was Babe siyabonga,” the musician said. Described In what can be best described as a flawless performance, capped with energetic dance moves, among the many renditions, the songs “Ameni”, the crowd’s favourite “Shiya”, “Siyalangazelela”, “ Khulula ugcobo” and “Ngenelela” changed the atmosphere as they did not only bring the best out of Hlophe but were well-received by the lively audience. Back-up also testified the song “Siyalangazelela” changed her life as she was married for eight years with no children but after she recorded the song with Hlophe, she was able to conceive and she proudly showed it off as she revealed she was expecting her first child. The show was so animated so much that even ENACA’s CEO Stanley Dlamini and other high-profile people who attended failed to contain themselves as they danced up a storm. “Amazing support, what a night. We are thankful to everyone who came through to support and this is the way our artists will grow and become great. She is what she is today because of the support. The album will hit stores shortly and we hope you will continue to support her,” Mandla ‘Cheeks’ Nxumalo of Leserato Events, said. The show ended a few minutes after 10pm after the gospel artist took over an hour delivering one hit after another.
