Times Of Swaziland: Khayalethu's wife leaves marital home Khayalethu's wife leaves marital home ================================================================================ TIMOTHY SIMELANE on 23/04/2011 00:00:00 MBABANE – The marital woes between two members of the Nca-ndweni Christ Ambassadors are far from over, as Thabile Masuku (nee Mdluli) has deserted her matrimonial home following another spat with husband Khayalethu Masuku. They were both living in Malkerns. Thabile went to back to stay with her family in Mbabane, while Masuku is said to be staying in different places, including his home at Siphofaneni. Khayalethu is one of the founding members of Ncandweni Christ Ambassadors, while Mdluli assumed membership to the group by virtue of her marriage to Masuku. A source close to the family told the Swazi News that the leader of the group, Lubulini Member of Parliament Timothy Myeni had tried many times to bring harmony to the Masuku couple, but all were in vain. Counselling "They have also received counselling from some church leaders to no avail. The main problem is that Masuku spent less time with his family while he was busy with other commitments, and as a result, Thabile spent many days living alone in the house with their six-year-old son." The couple was unsettled a few years ago when Masuku was said to have developed a drinking problem. At one time, he was arrested for driving while in the influence of alcohol, and was bailed out by South African Gospel musician Sipho Makhabane. This was after he spent a week behind bars, without money to pay the fine. Another group member Mzwakhe Myeni had assisted Masuku to get the bail money worth E3 000. Following his release from jail, Masuku was suspended from the group, but his wife Mdluli continued travelling with the NCA to perform in different shows. "They have stayed in the house for over three years now, until the upheavals began again towards the end of last year. Khayalethu was spending his time out with friends, yet he was needed at home, until Thabile decided enough was enough and returned to her parental home," the source said. After his release from jail in late 2009, Masuku had said he had returned to his family and had further apologised publicly for all the wrongs he did. Apologised He had also apologised to the entire Christian community and the church, promising to start on a clean slate and behave himself. Mdluli declined to be interviewed on the issue when called this week, while Masuku was not available on his phone the whole week. Meanwhile, Myeni said he was in church when called at about 6:30pm, and asked to be called after the service. From 9.45pm, his phone was switched off. ...we last saw them three months ago - neighbours MALKERNS - A visit by the Swazi News to the modest home uncovered that there are no people living there. When approaching, one is met by the overgrown grass in the yard, which shows that the owners have been away for some time. Neighbours said no one had been seen at the home for the past three months. Weeds A small backyard garden in which maize was grown speaks volumes as it was not harvested until the weeds overgrew it. The gate was on the ground but had not been fixed. All windows were found tightly closed. Deserted A resident found next to the homestead said; "No one stays there. I think I last saw Thabile, Khaya or any one else there about three months ago. Since then, the house has been deserted as you can see for yourself." The modest house is said to be valued at around E350 000. ------------------------- Comments Mayenani niyabhala tindzaba tebantfu nize nibhale emakhula pho!!Akushokutsi ngoba umshado wabo sowu nje dat means semele nibhale so they are not the only ones or first kudivosa mosi Apr 23, 2011, 10:44 AM, pash (yahoo.com)
