Times Of Swaziland: SRA COMMISSIONER DOMESTIC TAXES RETIRES SRA COMMISSIONER DOMESTIC TAXES RETIRES ================================================================================ BY KWANELE DHLADHLA on 19/03/2018 02:51:00 MBABANE – Swaziland Revenue Authority (SRA) Commissioner Domestic Taxes, Nomphumelelo Dlamini is taking an early retirement. Commissioner General Dumisani Masilela has informed all stakeholders, especially the business community and taxpayers in general, that Dlamini has officially informed the organisation of her desire to take an early retirement when her contract expires on May 31, 2018 to pursue her personal interests, which intention was communicated to the organisation when she took the current contract. Nomphumelelo is one of the longest serving executive management team members, having joined the organisation in the position of Chief Financial Officer in March 2011, before her appointment to the position of Commissioner Domestic Taxes in 2014. “On behalf of the governing board, management and staff, let me pass our sincere gratitude to ‘Make Dlamini’ for her phenomenal contribution towards the growth of the organisation over the years and wish her success in her future endeavours,” said Dlamini. Masilela outlined that as a member of the executive management team, Dlamini played a significant role in the crafting of the strategic direction of the organisation. As she retires, Dlamini was spearheading one of the key strategic programmes under the SRA’s new strategy which was recently approved by cabinet. He said this programme focused on automating the SRA’s business processes for better delivery to our customers and also for better enforcement of tax legislation by the SRA. As the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Dlamini was responsible for setting up the finance department for the organisation, which included putting in place business processes and systems, designing job profiles and job descriptions and recruiting competent staff into the department.
