ESWACAA TO AWARD E9M CONTRACTS TO 3 COMPANIES

MBABANE – The Eswatini Civil Aviation Authority (ESWACAA) intends to award
contracts amounting to E9 065 534.87 to three local companies.
The three companies are Gemcon Fire Services, Gridlock Security Services and
PWC. The tender for Gemcon Fire Services is for the provision of fire fighting
installations at King Mswati III International Airpot, for Gridlock Security
services the tender is for the provision of security services, and PWC for the
provision of external audit services. This was revealed through three separate
notices released on the Eswatini Public Procurement Regulatory Agency (ESPPRA)
website.
“In terms of Section 45 of the Public Procurement Act No. 7 of 2011, following
a competitive bidding process, notice is hereby given that a contract award
decision for the above cited tender has been reached by the approvals
authority,” read the notices in part. All three companies were competing with
other companies for their respective tenders.
Award
The notices go on to state that as per the terms of section 45(2) of the same
Act, the intention to award decisions do not constitute contracts. “Further,
in terms of section 45(4), 46 and 47 of the Act all tenderers who submitted bids
are notified that a period of 10 working days is hereby allowed for submission
of any application for review from the stated date of first publication of the
notice which was July 1, 2024 for all three tenders.
