EswatiniBank Managing Director (MD) Nozizwe Mulela said to them it was indicative that the bank has fully embraced the digital era. Mulela highlighted that as of this month, ShareSha has reached the E40 million mark in terms of transactions that have gone through it. “We would like to appreciate our esteemed customers that fully embraced this product, and we encourage them to continue using it as it makes banking easier and more convenient,” she said. The MD added that they will soon be rolling out agency stations countrywide that will enable customers to bank using ShareSha. Through this, customers will be able to withdraw, deposit and pay bills through the agencies. Furthermore, the bank also bagged the Eswatini Public Procurement Regulatory Agency (ESPPRA) Category A Best Compliant Award. When reached for comment on this, the bank’s MD said by their nature, given the industry that they operate, compliance is a key factor to effective business operations and to demonstrate that they adhere to government laws. “We are, therefore, happy to be found to be aligned to the rules and regulations that impact our operations as an institution; this should also give our customers confidence that indeed their bank is ethically responsible,” she said. The bank received the ESPPRA award during the Eswatini Procurement Symposium 2024, held at the Hilton Garden Inn on Tuesday. The symposium was held under the theme, ‘The future of Procurement: A Cross-dimensional Perspective.’
