Times Of Swaziland: ‘YEBO GOGO, YEBO MZALA’ FESTIVAL ON THIS YEAR ‘YEBO GOGO, YEBO MZALA’ FESTIVAL ON THIS YEAR ================================================================================ BY NHLANHLA MATHUNJWA on 21/03/2017 07:14:00 MBABANE – He seems to be always thinking of new innovative ways to keep music lovers entertained with soulful sounds. Local afro soul music singer Bholoja Ngubane is already planning for the ‘Yebo Gogo, Yebo Mzala’ Music Festival 2017. This year will mark the second edition of the festival which brought the likes of String Quartet, Vusi Mahlasela, Siphokazi and The Muffins into the country during its first edition held in October last year. Promised Preparations for the festival have already started and the organisers have promised to see to it that the festival becomes bigger and better than it was in its first year . Bholoja confirmed that the festival would be held this year saying music lovers should prepare themselves for yet another exciting edition of the festival. “It all started last year and it was a success. We thank all those who made the festival to be what it was. We had a challenge with the cold and wet weather last year but we learnt from that small complication and this year we will be better prepared for any weather condition,” said Bholoja. Asked if he had confirmed any artists yet, he said it was too early to confirm the list especially because there are still a number of logistics that need to be sorted out. “All I can confirm is that the show will take place as I promised it would be an annual event. We are still working on confirming the date and venue. ‘‘However, I can say we will be bringing some of the best afro soul and jazz artists both from Swaziland and South Africa under one roof.” Updated He said the public will be updated in good time about the list of artists, venue and ticket sale prices. This was to ensure that everyone has ample time to purchase the tickets. As usual there will be VVIP, VIP and general tickets on sale. “All jazz and afro soul music lovers should keep their eyes and ears on the media as we will be releasing details soon,” he added.
