Mr Swaziland 2018 was launched last Saturday morning at Sibane Hotel where the organising committee revealed one of their main sponsors towards the crowning of Mr Swaziland next year in March. Speaking on behalf of the committee, Linda Chester thanked Sibane Hotel for being the first to show interest in making the next Mr Swaziland pageant a success. Present during the launch was the organising committee which consists of Nathi Dlamini, Thembisa Maseko, Linda Chester who wass the coordinator and newly appointed member, Sakhelo Nkambule. Robbed Chester said they had roped in Nkambule because he was a young vibrant model and motivational speaker, who would have a lot to share with the Mr Swaziland contestants. He said the main reason why he joined the team was to motivate and groom the contestants on stage presence, media interaction and handling the pressures of being in the public eye as an ambassador for the young men. Anyone who is interested in taking up the opportunity of being in the competition can visit the Swaziland National Arts and Culture offices in Manzini, to get a registration form at a cost of E100. Everyone who will be interested is reminded to bring a copy of their ID to be able to get themselves the entry forms. Revealed During the launch, Chester also revealed that the recruitment process will commence on December 9, and details will be announced soon. “After four years of no one taking the title away from former Mr Swaziland Bonelelwe Makhanya, we have to make this finale an interesting one,” said Chester. He further encouraged other corporate organisations to follow in Sibane Hotel’s footsteps and sponsor the event. “No pageant can be a success without sponsorship and we urge all businesspeople as well to help us make the Mr Swaziland 2018/19 pageant a success.”
