Times Of Swaziland: ‘ESWATINI MUST LAUGH’ A HIT ‘ESWATINI MUST LAUGH’ A HIT ================================================================================ BY DUDU DUBE on 23/06/2019 23:20:00 EZULWINI – “Comedy has never been this lit.” These were sentiments of some of the people who attended the ‘Eswatini Must Laugh’ show on Friday, at the Happy Valley Hotel in Ezulwini. The line-up was quite interesting with four locals collaborating with two South Africans to make the people of Eswatini laugh their lungs out. The comedy scene has come alive in the country as tickets were sold out days before the show. Thembela Mamba was the first act to take to the stage and tickled some tummies with some local flavoured jokes that left the crowd begging for more. The MC, Tumi Stopnonsons aka Jumaima Matila, a comedian who hails from South Africa, engaged the crowd in his set and not a single soul went home without sore stomach muscles. “Laughter is good for the soul,” they say, but the Friday show had some stomach muscles flexing when Mdura, Dr. Shakes and Bongiswa took the stage by storm. Thenjiwe Moseley, who has hosted comedy shows in the kingdom before, did what she does best with her hilarious but educative jokes which had people laughing out loud. Bongiswa, another upcoming local took to the stage and earned his comedian status with his fiery zest, which also left the crowd in stitches. retarded His appearance complemented his set as some thought he was a bit insane. The MC kept the audience glued to their seats with his breathtaking jokes that touched on the different struggles people go through. Dr Shakes, the king of memes also brought his A game and left the crowd yearning for more. The man of the night with a heart of gold Mduduzi ‘Mdura’ Dlamini shut it down with his really imaginative jokes. The night ended on a high note, with comedy lovers taking pictures with the finest local comedians and of course with the MC Stopnonsons who really gave comedy lovers a good run for their money.
