LINDA PACKS THEM IN JHB! ================================================================================ BY PHUMELELE MKHONTA on 12/11/2019 02:39:00 MBABANE – Eswatini gospel music star Linda Dlamini has validated his international status in the industry. Recently, the star did this by packing the GNF Ministries Auditorium with over 5 000 fans and music lovers who were gathered at the venue to experience the Eswatini gospel marvel. This happened where the ‘Lona Ngumnyaka Wetfu’ artist was hosting a massive live DVD/CD recording for his upcoming album at the GNF Ministries Auditorium, Alexandra in Johannesburg, South Africa on Saturday night. Themed ‘Holy Ghost Party Festival’, the show saw an amazing rendition from the Eswatini artist. During the show, new songs from Dlamini’s upcoming album titled ‘Old Revival in Modern Garments’ were revealed and they evoked emotions of high praise and worship at the packed venue, which is a 7 000 seater. Show Confirming the show was Kufeziwe Communications Public Relations Officer (PRO) Nomfundo Makhubu. Dlamini is managed by Kufeziwe Communications. Makhubu said the venue, which is outside Eswatini, was motivated by means to reach out by Dlamini, who has grown a fan base in South Africa and beyond. “Dlamini’s career has grown immensely and by recording his new album live in South Africa, we are showing the zeal for him to reach out to his fans outside the country,” said Makhubu. The event started at 8pm, with Dumi Mkokstad being the opening act. Dlamini then followed and recorded for over an hour, a set that set the tone for the night. Other than Dlamini, the man of the night, the line-up also constituted of Thina Zungu, Lungelo Hlongwane, Tshepo Price, Takesure Ncube, Takie Ndou, Londiwe Kamasondo Cele, Nduduzo Matse, Mpume Mhlanga, Baba Ngcobo and many others which will be revealed in due course. Dlamini said he was ecstatic that he was able to pack a venue in grounds that are not his homeland. Humongous “The venue is quite humongous and beautiful- just fit for what I envision for the recording. “I would love to thank Bishop Nash Shongwe for connecting me to Bishop Nhlapho of GNT Ministries, who made all this possible. I would also love to thank the GNF Church and TNM owner Michael Moipolai,” said Dlamini. It was highlighted that over 100 emaSwati attended the event.
