This is the fourth round edition of the show hosted by Thamsanqa ‘KrTC’ Sibandze and Mbongeni ‘DJ MBO’ Sithungo which will be streamed live for the first time ever today. It is slated to commence live on Facebook pages DT Photography, KRTC and DJ MBO and it will also be streamed live on YouTube and DTTV. The much loved show will see both artists performing and competing against each other with their stronghold genres which are hip-hop and house music respectively. Round four of the show will commence at 6:30 pm and according to both artists who are heavy weights in both genres they represent, people are in for a surprise as the MC for the show will be Zoe Genesis. Online When asked on the online route they have since taken for the show, KrTC said the digital space had opened up possibilities as the virtual shows had a wider reach. “People who ordinarily, would not be able to come to the shows physically now have the opportunity to tune in from the comfort of their homes. Even our under age fans now get to watch the performances live and direct. So this has been a great win for us under the circumstances,” he said. DJ MBO also said the winner would be decided by the fans through the comments section. He said the show would only last for an hour as they considered the fact that some of their fans used data while some used wi-fi. However, he highlighted that the downside of this was that they would not be making money off the show but would be purely hosting for the love of their craft intended for their fans. He further said the government had not assisted artists for over a year which is why they took it upon themselves to dish out today’s show for the love of music. “People definitely have to stream the show as I will deliver a good set as always for the house music lovers,” he said. The Mortal Kombat show was first hosted at Déjà vu at Esibayeni Lodge in Matsapha where it proved to be a hit among patrons. This then gave birth to yet another show at Fun town in Fonteyn and the third show was held at Chill and Grill at Zulwini.
