Times Of Swaziland: THE EPIC ARTS AND CULTURE FESTIVAL THE EPIC ARTS AND CULTURE FESTIVAL ================================================================================ Tessa Nxumalo on 27/06/2022 07:49:00 MBABANE - Malkerns Country this past Friday where we witnessed the National Council of Arts Culture come together with Epic Gig Episode III to create a memorable day. Various primary schools from Eswatini were competing in different categories such as music ,traditional dance, African dance, modern dance and poetry. Showcasing their different skills and talents. The afternoon was an amazing display of all these aspects. All the schools came out to show case their various talents and dancing skills over and above. Entrance It was free entrance for schools and entrance in general. There were numerous competitors including the following schools; St Micheals Primary School, Malkerrns Valley Primary School, St Theresa’s Primary School, Sifundzane Primary School, Sydney Williams Primary School. They all competed in the following categories. The winners were as follows: - In the drama category – St Michaels Primary School took the first prize - In the soloist category for singing –first place went to St Theresa’s Primary School - Poetry –first place went to Malkerns Valley Primary School - Music- living Waters Primary School took first place - Traditional Dance – first place was taken by Malkerns Valley Primary School - African Dance- second place went to St Micheals Primary School then first place went to Sydney Williams Primary School - Instrumental and music- second place was taken by Living Water primary School and first place by Sifundzane Primary School - Modern Dance-first place was taken by St Theresa’s Primary School. Overall it was a very inspiring day of children which are our future showing their different skills and talents in a professional environment.
