Khulane Morule, better known by his stage name Khuli Chana, is a South African Motswako rapper. Khuli Chana rose to fame after releasing his major successful album ‘Motswakoriginator’, which infuses both the Setswana and English languages. Motswako is a mixture of both languages and the sound and style of music originates from Mahikeng, a small town in the North West Province. In 2014, Khuli Chana was nominated for Most Valuable Artist and Video of the Year at 2014 South African Hip Hop Awards. The news about this new relationship between the South African musician and the local agency was confirmed by both parties showing much enthusiasm about the upcoming projects are yet to be released. A Peculiar People representative, Xolisile Dlamini, highlighted how the relationship with the SA artist was a long time coming after the team had been in talks with him and his management for quite a while. “One of our directors has worked with Khuli Chana on a couple of events and this is a conversation that has taken quite a while to come to fruition. He has trusted us to do some PR work for his latest project here in Eswatini and we are grateful. We will be working very closely with his label, MyThrone as well as his management team from Magnificent Communications,” said Dlamini. A Peculiar People is a new agency made up of partners with a rich history of work and networks in the country and across southern Africa. It was further highlighted by Dlamini that the agency has positioned itself to be able to work with international creatives that want to access markets within the local territory when it comes to PR, events, appearances and performances. There is a growing demand for safe spaces and we are here to innovate and bridge the existing gap,” further highlighted Dlamini when elaborating about the agency.
