Times Of Swaziland: WANTED: NACAS LOGO DESIGNER WANTED: NACAS LOGO DESIGNER ================================================================================ Mxolisi Dlamini and Lungisile Shiba on 01/08/2024 07:31:00 MBABANE – Eswatini National Council of Arts and Culture (ENCAC) is looking for designers to craft a logo for the upcoming National Arts and Culture Awards. According to ENCAC CEO Stanley Dlamini, the awards will honour those who have made outstanding contributions to the arts industry and the designer that will craft the ideal logo will be awarded E5 000. “Eswatini’s prestigious National Arts and Culture Awards 2024 (NACAs) are seeking an innovative and talented designer to create an official logo. Honours “The NACAs are an event that honours individuals and organisations that have made outstanding contributions to the arts and culture industry in Eswatini. The winner will receive an E5 000 cash prize,” Dlamini said. When asked about the vision they had for the logo, he mentioned that it should be memorable and capture the essence of the awards. “The logo should capture the spirit and essence of the awards ceremony and the contributions made by the artists in the industry. It should be memorable, professional and versatile enough to be used across a variety of media and other platforms. It should also reflect the dynamic and creative nature of the NACAs and the pride that Eswatini takes in its arts and cultural heritage,” he said. Needed Dlamini further went on to reveal the types of logos needed, citing four types of logos. “Based on the call for a logo design, the types of logos needed for submission are the primary logo, which is a main logo that represents the NACA Awards, capturing the spirit and essence of the ceremony and the arts and culture industry in Eswatini. “There is also an icon-only logo, which is a standalone icon that can be used without the logotype (text), representing the NACA Awards. “Another logo can be the wordmark logo, which is a text-based logo featuring the logotype (NACAs), that can be used independently or in conjunction with the icon. Designers “Lastly, there is a combination mark logo, which is a logo that combines the icon and wordmark, which can be used as the primary logo. To ensure versatility, designers should submit logos in various formats, including PNG (raster), PDF (vector), JPEG (raster), and vector formats,” Dlamini said. Additionally, designers may consider submitting logo variations for different use cases, such as horizontal and vertical orientations, colour and monochrome (black and white) versions, reversed or inverted logos for dark backgrounds and social media icon-sized logos. By submitting multiple logo options and variations, designers can demonstrate the versatility and adaptability of their design.
