The air was filled with excitement and creativity, as graduates of the University of Eswatini (UNESWA) showcased their stunning outfits during the institution’s 42nd graduation ceremony held at the Kwaluseni Campus on Saturday. Graduates spent between one to two months meticulously designing their unique ensembles, transforming the event into a vibrant showcase of fashion and individuality. In a series of interviews, graduates expressed their pride in their outfits, each telling a story of personal style and cultural significance. “I wanted my outfit to reflect my journey and achievements,” shared one graduate, adorned in a dazzling gown that blended traditional designs with a modern twist. Frenzy Highlighting the entrepreneurial spirit behind this fashion frenzy, four local designers shared their experiences, with Viwe Malaza standing out as a remarkable success story. Malaza revealed that she earned E20 000 from designing for UNESWA students, contributing to an impressive total of E57 000 made by all four designers. “It’s not just about the outfits; it’s about empowering students to express themselves on their special day,” Malaza noted.
