The DMS is a skills development agency run by DJ Christos and Lady Sakhe, which aims to up-skill and educate anyone interested in the dance music industry. This is done through idea sharing, collaborations and mentorship. Through creating a space for dance music industry creatives to network and offer skills development workshops to empower the future. Local entertainment stable founder Mthunzi Zwane shared on his social media platform that artists should register for the workshop. “Dear all artists, do not miss this workshop, as it will be very insightful for you, please register to participate,” read Zwane’s post. format In a press release that Zwane shared on his profile, it says that the Dance Music Industry Workshops will feature a two-day format, with specialised masterclasses scheduled for Fridays and a diverse range of topics covered on Saturday. “These workshops will be held in Eswatini and Lesotho, building upon the resounding success of the 2022 and 2023 workshops held in seven different locations in South Africa. This year’s events promise valuable insights into the music industry for the first time outside of South Africa by visiting these two neighbouring countries. Participants will have the opportunity to engage with esteemed musicians, managers and industry insiders, both local and international,” read the statement. The workshop will feature notable speakers including Ralf GUM, DJ Christos, Vinny Da Vinci, Artwork Sounds and Bucie as well as local industry leaders and many more. empowering GOGO Music is a music label run by Ralf GUM, which has since long believed in empowering young artists and has successfully held a similar workshop in South Africa in the past years. By joining forces, all parties involved are proud to be able to present highly-valuable educational work in two new locations this year once again. German Ambassador Designate to South Africa, Eswatini and Lesotho Andreas Peschke highlighted the importance of such workshops, as they help immensely in grooming talents for the industry. “Youth development is massively important. We are delighted to bring our successful industry workshops to Eswatini and Lesotho. We cannot wait to meet all the participants and the greats of the music business. According to the Eswatini National Arts Policy, workshops are pivotal in developing the local arts industry, as creatives get to empower each other. “Workshops are important elements needed in the industry as they give creative opportunities to learn and empower each other.
