MBABANE - 2024 is nothing short of exhilarating for the Eswatini Hip Hop
community and music lovers alike.
This groundbreaking event spearheaded by the innovative producers Munya
Chanesta, Melusi Zox Dlamini and Steven Mthethwa promises to be a pivotal moment
in the local music scene, showcasing the incredible talent that Eswatini has to
offer. Set to take place on December 20, 2024, at the Albert Millin in Mbabane,
the ‘Rap Royale’ will feature the electrifying Touchline Truth as the
headliner, alongside a stellar line-up of artists from the acclaimed
‘Mayham’ mixtape.
The rapper’s reputation for delivering high-energy performances and masterful
improvisation makes him the perfect choice to lead this event and his commitment
to identifying and nurturing emerging talent is commendable. The ‘Mayham’
mixtape itself, is a testament to the collaborative spirit of Eswatini’s Hip
Hop artists featuring a diverse array of voices and styles that reflect the

One of the local rappers, Laro the Bambino said that the event aims to reignite
the commercial viability of Hip Hop in Eswatini. “History will be made on the
day. “There will be freestyle rap battle merchandise to be worn, games  and
social media contests, such as open verse and dance challenges to name a few,
with everything Hip Hop that will provide a unique platform for artists to
showcase their skills in a dynamic and competitive environment,” he said. The
event Producer, Zox, said that this initiative is not just about entertainment.
“The project is all about inspiring confidence and fostering a sense of pride
in the local Hip Hop culture.
This event has the potential to leave a lasting impact on the Hip Hop landscape
in Eswatini with the support of industry pioneers like KrTC and the dedication
of the producers,” he said. The stage is set for an unforgettable experience
