The appointed Board is under the Eswatini National Council of Arts and Culture (ENCAC) which is an institution entrusted with the responsibility of preserving our cultural heritage and advancing the creative industry for the benefit of all emaSwati. The minister said that the members’ selection is a testament to the confidence placed in their ability to lead, innovate and deliver. “This is not just an appointment; it is a call to action, a commitment to ensuring that our arts and culture industry thrives and becomes a beacon of pride and economic empowerment. As you take on this role, I urge you to act with the speed and determination of an antelope, ‘Nitsi nkwe’ The welfare of our artists and cultural practitioners must be your priority,” he said. The new Board Chairman, Kenneth Tsabedze, said that they are beyond grateful for this opportunity and change is bound to happen under their leadership.” I want to assure the minister we are more than ready for the ‘nkwee’ policy. The arts and culture in our country is very rich and the talent is that of international standards. I promise that in the three years of office we shall ensure that there are arts and culture business that the youth will make a living from,” Tsabedze said.
