The choirs that will represent Eswatini at the prestigious Tiro Mpane Chorals finale in Pretoria are the Emmanuel Methodist Choir, Mbabane Methodist Choir, His Majesty’s Correctional Services Choir and the Royal Eswatini Police Service Choir. These ensembles have consistently showcased exceptional talent and passion of emaSwati and hopefully they will do so once again in Pretoria. Dedication The Minister for Sports Culture and Youth Affairs, Bongani Nzima commended the Eswatini National Choral Music Association (ENCMA) for their exceptional dedication and tireless efforts. “You have continuously ensured that Choral music competitions in Eswatini are organised with the highest standards of excellence and professionalism. Your commitment to uplifting this art form has brought tremendous recognition to our country, both regionally and internationally,” he said. In response, the ENCMA President, Sihle Gumbi, expressed confidence in their choirs’ abilities, assuring the minister that they aim to return home with a trophy and continue to raise the nation’s flag high. “We are very grateful for this meeting. We have met with some of the choirs for rehearsals, and all preparations are going smoothly. We have also endeavoured to raise our own funds for this weekend, and we appreciate the unending support we receive from the ministry. We believe this is a result of our excellent work, which we will continue to uphold,” Gumbi said. Nzima also added that as the government, they remain steadfast in their commitment to support the creative sector. “I am pleased to share that we are expediting efforts to professionalise this vital industry. This endeavour is aimed at transforming the creative sector into a vibrant economic contributor, one that not only attracts local and international investors, but also solidifies its place as an essential player in the economic development agenda,” the minister said.
