This year, legendary South African Deep House DJs Vincent Motshego, widely known as Vinny Da Vinci, and Brandon Dhludhlu will hit the stage, bringing their unique sounds to the heart of Eswatini’s music scene. They will be joined by a selection of local talent including DJ Fantacy, The Scientists and DJ Selby. Notably, the line-up will also feature DJ Expo, ensuring a strong female presence at this year’s festival. These exciting updates were announced by Nduduzo Nkonyane, the Public Relations Officer for SwaziBoy Entertainment, who confirmed that further details regarding the second phase of the line-up will be revealed soon. Numbers Nkonyane promised House music overs an event like no other. “We would like to inform our Deep House music fans that this festival will bring more fire to the show, encouraging them to come in numbers for this fun-filled weekend on March 29. This year we are really stepping up,” he said, adding that they are even considering camping facilities for fans who travel from afar and may not want to drive home immediately after the show. The House Musiq Fest aims to celebrate the House music genre alongside local artists and has been hosted in Eswatini since 2019. The first event drew over 500 enthusiastic fans who share a passion for Deep House music. Tickets for this year’s festival are available at all Shoprite and Computicket outlets in South Africa, priced at E350 for general admission and E1 000 for VIP access. In previous years, the festival has featured popular South African musicians such as Any X, DJ Terrence, Oscar Mbo and Tibza. Local artists including DJ Crooks, Mistosoul, DJ MBO and Tonic Deep have also made significant contributions to the event’s success. Nkonyane encouraged house music lovers to continue supporting the festival, highlighting its reputation for smooth organisation and a family-friendly atmosphere. In addition to the music, the festival will also feature awards honouring individuals who have contributed to the development of House music in Eswatini, with categories such as Connoisseurs of House Eswatini, Pioneers of House and Achievers from the past year.
