Times Of Swaziland: Andile tackles Business Andile tackles Business ================================================================================ BY THOBEKA MANYATHELA on 17/08/2013 01:11:00 She is first princess to Miss Cultural Heritage 2012/13, the beautiful and tall Andile Slenge. The Limkokwing University Business Management student wants to change the world of business. She is focused and determined to be the best in everything that she does. The 21-year-old is currently doing her internship at Select Management Services. Gcwala gets up close and personal with the beauty queen. Gcwala – Why did you choose Business Management? I chose to major in Business Administration because it is such a broad field. I feel the course can benefit me in many spheres. Gcwala – Why did you choose Select Management? I feel Select Management Services has grown to become the dominant micro lender in the market, by both the brand and the market share. It offers the best products in Swaziland than other financial brokers. I want to learn from the best. Gcwala – What are your hobbies? While I have a wide variety of general interests, my actual range of hobbies is narrow. My natural curiosity pushes me to read books, magazines and internet articles on many subjects. However, that does not necessarily mean that all my activities are related to what I read. I listen to music more often and I love travelling a lot. Gcwala – What are the challenges are faced by the youth? Teenage pregnancy, peer pressure and the lack of role models are the challenges that the youth is faced with. Too many girls are falling pregnant at an early age. Most teens want to fit in and end up misbehaving. Gcwala – Did you register for elections? Yes, I did. I feel the election process in the country is fair as everyone is given an opportunity to choose candidates they feel can make significant change in their communities. Gcwala – Who is your favourite artist? Beyonce, she has the voice and the looks as well. I just love the way she sings and her songs too. Gcwala – What are your future plans? I am actually not sure what I want to become after graduating. However, I have thought about starting a project in housing or something along those lines. The management programme will also help me better understand the business economy and how to operate and run a successful business. Gcwala – What is your favourite colour? I do not have a specific colour. I choose anything that blends with my personality. Gcwala – What is your favourite cologne? Lady Million is the best. It has a lasting fragrance. Gcwala – What is your favourite car? At the moment, I just love the Range Rover Evoque. It is beautiful and classy too. I would kill to own one, but surely when I have money I will invest in a beautiful car like this one. Gcwala – Who do you look up to? I look up to my parents. They are the best and they have instilled so much in me. I am grateful for the upbringing they have given me. They have been the pillar of my strength. They have taught me that God is my source. I am grateful for that. I love my parents.
