Times Of Swaziland: RHYTHM CITY ACTRESS FOR LIZWI LAUNCH RHYTHM CITY ACTRESS FOR LIZWI LAUNCH ================================================================================ BY PHUMZILE NDLOVU on 11/02/2014 04:12:00 MBABANE – Another Rhythm City actress has been confirmed for Lizwi Myeni’s CD launch which will be on Saturday. The actress is Amogelang Chidi who plays the role of Reneilwe. She calls Tshidi’s mom aunt in the popular South African soapie which airs on eTV weekdays at 6.30pm. She is the second Rhythm City actress to confirm as a guest artist as ‘Sifiso’, born Dumisani Masilela, had earlier been reported as one of the confirmed guests. The launch will be held at the Divine Healing Ministries Church in Manzini on Saturday. The launch will be from 6pm to 6 am. In an interview with Eric Lucky Cossa who is Myeni’s manager and also the director of Black Pearl Records, said, “We are expecting big names in gospel to grace Lizwi Myeni’s launch.” Expected The South African artists who are expected to be part of the launch include Keke Phoofolo, Lundi Tyamara Thembinkosi Booi of ‘Usathane ujampa amafence’fame, Thembisile Ntaka (from Adele), Phiwokwakhe Dlamini, Buhle Nhlangulela, who was a backup singer for Rebecca Malope, Erick Ngubeni, Ntibeleng, Agape and last but not least Mlamuli Nganase and Phindile Mashaba. Then local artists are Pastor Bakhe, Nonhle Mthetwa, and Indumiso ZabaPostoli. Lizwi Myeni was born and bred in Swaziland and was discovered by Mrs Nomcebo Dlamini at Harvest Ministries. He used to sing at church and was later on the conductor of the choir. He was also a backup vocalist for Mzwakhe Myeni. Album He joined Pearl Records last year in April, after meeting Cossa in church. His album is titled ‘Themba Lamathemba’. Black Pearl Records has over eight artists of which four of them have released their albums. These are Phiwokwakhe Dlamini, Lizwi Myeni, Agape and Mlamuli Nganase. Myeni’s songs have enjoyed airplay in South African gospel channels namely, Soweto TV, KZN TV, and Bay TV, and radio stations which include Umhlobo Wenene and local radio stations.
