Times Of Swaziland: Satan the chief deceiver Satan the chief deceiver ================================================================================ The Editor on 07/04/2010 00:00:00 Sir, Please allow me space in your paper to share with the readers on one particular issue. When satan was cast from heaven, he drew with him a third of the angels (Rev12:4). I don’t know in numbers but how did he manage to deceive such a big number. Right now the devil and his troops are on this earth deceiving God’s people. Evil men and impostors are becoming worse and worse. Take heed that no one misleads you. As recorded in the bible, many will come in Christ’s name, and lead many astray. Deceive They will even show great signs and wonders to deceive even the elects of God (Mat 24:4,5,24) The devil is not on holiday but on a mission, a big one. Watch therefore and pray always that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things that will come to pass... (Luk 21:36). John warned that we need not believe every spirit but to try the spirits to determine whether they are of God (1John4:1). How then do we test the spirits? By thy Scripture, the inspired word (Isa 8:20, Eph6:17). Pardon me but neigher feelings nor emotions will help you. His Word is our measuring stick (2 Tim3:16). Regardless of who the messengers are, the holy bible is the measuring scale. As we judge all things by the pure word of God, we will know the truth just as Jesus promised (John 8:31,32). Challenging I am challenging all of us to diligently study the scriptures. Even as we study from Genesis to Revelation, l pray that God gives us the spirit of under-standing. May God enrich you with knowledge and wisdom to evade all deception. Refuse to provide residency to the devil. Mandla Dlamini dlamini40@gmail.com
