Times Of Swaziland: TURN NEGATIVES INTO POSITIVES, LEMONS TO LEMONADE! TURN NEGATIVES INTO POSITIVES, LEMONS TO LEMONADE! ================================================================================ Editor on 15/07/2024 08:05:00 Sir, Thank you for allowing me space in your newspaper. In a time where everything revolves around money, we are all forced to financially help those we depend on. Many would ask, “What is the need of making money if my parents provide?” I’d answer: “What is the use of parents providing if their children are now sober, capable and mature enough to fend for themselves?” Rule The rule of communication doesn’t allow a speaker to answer a question with a question, but here I am, doing it anyway, for solely painting a clear picture that we ought to be motivated to be on our own. It remains a fact that our parents can die anytime, and we will remain our own responsibilities. The University of Eswatini has been closed for four months now. Some have been fortunate enough to acquire temporal jobs, while some remained comfortable milking their parents dry. I know for a fact that depression crept in even to those who enjoy fruits (monthly stipends) without labour (jobs). Why not use that feeling of being depressed as a motivation to do better? Use that stipend for toiletries and the rest for starting a small business rather than buying fries. I started my clothing business with just E100. Yeah, you do not need a thousand to initiate a business. Some have completed their varsity studies and are currently unemployed. They are angry even to discover that they’re still breathing when they wake up in the morning because of the frustration caused by their plight. That anger might be a ticket to creating a name for yourself. Write out of anger to distress, sing from that anger to forget, do breathing exercises to get better. Improve Writing will improve your writing skills and you might be lucky to find yourself competing with the best writers in the world, for money and fame instead of distressing. You might be the next Zahara and making thousands, you might be the next yoga coach and having billions of individuals tuning in to your YouTube channel. It is the negative things we face daily that should intrinsically motivate us to improve from being just humans into being masterpieces! I for one was motivated to become a writer through experiencing vituperation, physically and emotionally from my biological father. But am I dwelling on that and annoyingly feeling sorry for myself all day? No, I write to heal, inspire and motivate instead! Turn negatives into positives and strive to improve from your situation, which is nothing but a shard of agony. This article is dedicated to all lost souls out there, who are even about to lose themselves to the world. I would like to thank my mother for loving me unconditionally.
