Why do Muslims not condemn Bin Laden?

Sir,
On September 11, 2001, a friend of mine who had been a Peace Corps Volunteer in
Swaziland fled for his life from the World Trade Center in New York City.
That was the day terrorists, inspired by Osama bin Laden, flew an airplane into
the building.
He was lucky and escaped. Thousands of other people died. Last year a friend of
mine went to Afghanistan to help very poor Afghan families get more food. She
was targeted and murdered with fellow aid workers. Again, the killers were
inspired by Osama bin Laden.
I am not amazed that in every religion you can find a few people who try to
solve their problems with violence. AB Sule is correct to say that you should
not judge a religion by a few bad representatives; but I have never understood
the reaction of the Islamic world to the September 11 attacks. Perhaps Sule or
another representative of the Islamic community in Swaziland can explain it to
me. I see two different visions of Islam in the world.
Thankfully, the more common one is reflected by AB Sule, who said in the Times
of Swaziland on April 21 that, "Our motto is: Love for all, hatred for none".
Osama bin Laden preached and practiced many things, one of which was "Death to
all Americans’. My friend Cheryl is dead because someone thought Osama bin
Laden’s vision of Islam was more compelling than the motto mentioned by Sule.
I am not surprised that there was an Osama bin Laden in the Islamic world; one
can find a few individuals in every religious community who think they honor God
by hating and attacking others.
What I cannot understand is why, when the Muslim individuals in Swaziland were
asked by the Times to comment about bin Laden’s death, no one would say
publicly, under their own name, "This man distorted the teachings of Islam." My
only guesses are that 1) they are afraid that bin Laden’s supporters will
attack them if they publicly speak up or that 2) bin Laden is seen by some as an
authentic voice of Islam. I am asking AB Sule and the other Muslims in this
country to explain these things to me, for I am very confused.

Mr Editor! I here by take the opportunity to show my gratitude for the honour
one get by having my comment published. I will show my pleasure by responding to
those Muslims who were critical of my analysis on Islam. I was waiting for some
response and for the right time to respond and I feel it’s the time. I have
seen three or four responses and all were dismissive without giving proof. First
of all I would like to highlight that Christianity is not about mudslinging but
one has to take a stand when the truth needs to be told. I must say There is no
hatrate between me and Muslims because in Christianity you are not allowed to
hate ,you love even your enemies as you love yourself and do them good. Those
are my principles. I was really expecting my critics to squash my allegations
with facts and proof. All I said was denied without evidence forwarded but only
the claim that I don’t know what I was talking about. I must remind the reader
that it is the same Muslims who have been spreading lies without any valid proof
,for saying the Bible was corrupted. They claim that because the Bible is
interpreted into different languages means that it was some how doctored. I
laughed when one of them said the Quran is only in Arabic, which to me shows
that he doesn’t even know what the Quran says because he doesn’t know Arabic
himself .It is also far from the truth that the Quran is only in Arabic because
it is also interpreted to other languages .I wouldn’t have been able to read
it and give the quotes had it been in Arabic. I will also mention that who ever
corrupted the Bible did a very weak job because there is no book in the world
that has stood the test of time like the Bible and still give prophesies that
came to pass and those that are happening and those that are yet to come in such
accuracy. It is in the Bible where you find such beautiful correspondence
between the Old and New Testaments. All said in the New Testament is found in
the Old Testament. These are books written years and years apart yet so much
together. I learnt from the Quran which my critics claim I don’t read yet I
read it well, that if you have a doubt about a matter or even about the Quran
bring proof (Sura Baqarah Aya 23) ‘”And if ye are in doubt as to what we
have revealed from time to time to our servant ,then produce a Sura like there
unto and call your witnesses or helpers(If there are any)besides Allah ,If your
doubts are true” and (Sura Yunis Aya 38) “ Or you say ’He forgot it’ say
bring then a sura like unto it and call(to your aid) anyone you can besides
Allah if be ye speak the truth’’. The Quran open gates for critics by its
demand for proof which in my first comment I gave and none of my critics
forwarded proof or sura when my comment was dismissed was only told I don’t
know the Quran and what I am talking about. As we talk, today’s world is held
under fear because people who call themselves Muslims are kill themselves to
kill a multitude of innocent people. This are the suicide bombings done in
conformity with what the Quran says in( Sura Al-Tawba aya 5) “But when
forbidden months are past ,then fight and slay the pagans where ever you find
them and seize them .beleaguer them and lie in wait for them in every stratagem
(of war): but if they repent and establish regular prayers and pay Zakat ,then
open the way for them for Allah is all forgiving most merciful”.Is that also a
lie? Most Muslims say the whole world should conform to Muslim laws which is
called Sharia. You must look around the Muslims we have in the country who are
Swazis converts .Are not their original names replaced with Arabic names? Check
it out for yourselves if Muslims do marry into other religion and what is the
common result if that happens? Is it not killing or disowning that child? When
you convert to Christianity you don’t need to change your name. Though it is
not allowed for a Christian to marry a none Christian ,we respect an
individual’s choice because we are instructed in the Bible not to judge
,judgement is reserved for God alone. That is my point when I say Muslims are
sectarian and promotes segregation. I must also say that in Swaziland
Christianity is a religion of choice .You are not born a Christian but you
convert to Christianity .For that reason ,it is not true that Swaziland is a
Christian country and our governing system is not controlled by the Christian
religion but it is more secular .Unlike in Muslim countries where the religion
itself controls the politics and the traditional way of living which has made it
hard to accommodate other religions. With that statement I want to prove that
Christianity is the most tolerant religion yet when you go to Dubai and most of
the Islamic countries you can not have the same freedom to worship they demand
and have all around the world. I must also say that the claim that most
Christians are converting to Islam and that Islam is fast a growing religion
doesn’t really bother or shock me that much because I know what the Bible
says. The Bible is not about numbers but about salvation. It says clearly that
wide is the gate to death and many are going into it and smaller is the gate to
everlasting life and few are getting into it. So statistics are not what God use
to prove his truth. God uses himself to prove himself because he is the way ,the
truth and the life .I know that is a bit deep to understand. So I am saying many
Christian are either joining other religions or just stopping to be religious
all together but that doesn’t make Christianity less and Islam a real deal
,because we have prophesies confirming that in the last days people will lose
their faith because of the escalation of sin. I will end there for today but I
am going on with this case .I want to carry on quoting from the Quran and teach
people what the Quran says about salvation and what is says about Jesus .I will
also show you some similarities and things the Bible and the Quran agree and
disagree on. I will quote both the Bible and the Quran and hope this will be my
Sura and will please my critics.

All religions have their bad potatoes but here are some where like in Islam
where those who claim the religion doesn’t stand or encourage violence are a
minority and say nothing to condemn those who advocate violence. To be honest
they somehow support those who martyr themselves because in their own holy book
the Quran (Sura Al-Tawba,aya 5)It says”But when forbidden months are past,then

establish regular prayers and pay Zakat,then open the way for them for Allah is
all forgiving most merciful”. just like it is said that every religion has its
bad characters but you find this kind of quotes in the Quran which most of
Muslims are inspired by.It either you disregard this quote and be a cool Muslims
or you follow the Quran to the latter and become a fanatic.Because in the heart
of Islam you are less human if you are not a Muslim. Until you repent you must
be killed.
