Times Of Swaziland: WHO WILL RESCUE US FROM SOMHLOLO LIGHTS? WHO WILL RESCUE US FROM SOMHLOLO LIGHTS? ================================================================================ The editor on 05/03/2014 02:14:00 Sir, Who will rescue us from those lights in Somhlolo stadium? I am raising this question to anybody who will hear me, about this stadium. It’s been more than a decade we have been talking about the stadium lights issue. The former sports minister, Hlobisile Ndlovu, promised to solve it but she didn’t. I hope even this current minister ‘Cruiser’ Ngcamphalala will not give these empty promises. I’ve one or two suggestions about the lights: Failing Why not ask our head of government, Sibusiso Dlamini, to stand up about this issue, because it is clear that his boys are failing to act. Senator ‘Bomber Mtsetfwa’ is very silent on that score but he is the FA President and, moreover, he is a senator (angati kutsi kwesingakhi) who has failed to bring that issue to Parliament, so how can we solve it? I don’t know what they are doing. I would suggest this: what if our sponsors (MTN, SwaziBank, etc) were to use half of the money they donate (or all of it!) to maintain those lights for one season. Maybe it will make sense than speaking ngokutsi ibhola yehlile is one of the issue of lights kukodvwa kukuntjontja imihlaba. I’m saying this because we’re busy challenging for international friendly games for Sihlangu. Now we have heard some rumours that they’re challenging Bafana Bafana for a game. Maintain When will we hold that game, because such games are usually played in the evening? MP Frans Dlamini was complaining about the money (E7.1 million) being too little, but why doesn’t he ask where does that money go to if we’re failing to maintain two stadiums (Mavuso and Somhlolo)? Iyangena imali kepha ayibonwa kutsi ishonaphi, imuka nemtilane? Nkosinathi ‘Msuthu’ Sibandze, Nhlangano
