Times Of Swaziland: BORDER GATE HOURS TO BE EXTENDED FOR KING’S CUP BORDER GATE HOURS TO BE EXTENDED FOR KING’S CUP ================================================================================ BY JOSEPH ZULU on 15/07/2015 01:22:00 MBABNE – Designated borders will have their hours of operation extended to accommodate the influx of soccer fans for the King’s Super Cup this weekend. This will be done to accommodate throngs of the fans who will flock into the kingdom for the tournament on Saturday at Somhlolo National Stadium in Lobamba. During the tournament, Kaizer Chiefs will face Mbabane Swallows in the first match while Orlando Pirates will take on the Royal Leopard in the second semi-finals. The winners will then face each other in the final. Most of the fans are expected to come from SA as the two teams have their main supporters there. At least 20 000 fans, according to earlier reports, are expected to pass through the border gates while many more from across the kingdom will flock to the stadium. Dumisani Sibandze, the Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the tournament, said the Local Organising Committee (LOC) was working on the matter but that it involved other government departments. “The games will start early so some of the fans may arrive throughout the night from Friday,” said Sibandze. He said preparations were at an advanced stage. He said the relevant ministries had been contacted regarding the extension of the operating hours of the border gates.
