Times Of Swaziland: I HAVE NOT GIVEN UP ON SWAZI WOMEN – PM I HAVE NOT GIVEN UP ON SWAZI WOMEN – PM ================================================================================ BY SIBUSISO SHANGE on 16/06/2017 04:39:00 MBABANE – “I have not given up on Swazi women.” This is the bold statement that the Prime Minister, Sibusiso Dlamini, said in jest when staff members from his office threw him a surprise party yesterday. In a light hearted mood, with the PM in his jovial self, he got many of his staff members laughing their lungs out when he related how some people had thought he travelled to the Republic of China on Taiwan ‘to look for a new wife’. Speaking in between raptures of laughter, the PM found himself having to explain to his team that he had not, actually, given up on Swazi women. The whole story started when the PM thanked the team for the surprise party and the kind gesture where he then gave them a glimpse of his ‘love life’. The head of government said he had learnt that many Swazis were concerned about his stance on being in another relationship. He said that was evident when he impromptu left the country for medical attention at a Taipei hospital in the Republic of China on Taiwan, a couple of days before his 75th birthday. Dlamini said the majority who were not aware about his whereabouts after Their Majesties had issued a directive that he be taken to the best hospital when he fell sick, were of the view that he had either taken a female companion to celebrate his birthday outside the country or he had gone there to look for a new wife. Others thought that I had gone there for government duties. “I was flooded by messages on my social networks including emails and WhatsApp, where people were telling different stories. Some thought I was on government duties while some were of the view that I was dating someone somewhere. “Some thought I left the country to look for a woman, probably because (they thought) I had given up on Swazi women,” the PM said, much to the laughter of his team. He said the news were spreading so much that they even reached his relatives who then called and asked him if he was really away to look for someone. “I told the caller that I was at a Taiwan hospital where I was being taken care of by doctors. I informed my relative that there were beautiful and respectful ladies in Taiwan but the problem was the communication barrier,” he said. In jest, the premier informed the staff that there was total misunderstanding between him and the Taiwanese ladies when he directed them to Swaziland.
