Times Of Swaziland: SOLDIER KIDNAPS, TORTURES BOGUS INYANGA SOLDIER KIDNAPS, TORTURES BOGUS INYANGA ================================================================================ BY JABULISA DLAMINI on 29/11/2017 05:00:00 MANZINI – A roadblock saved an alleged bogus traditional healer from possible attack as revenge for allegedly conning a soldier. The member of the Umbutfo Swaziland Defence Force (USDF) will not be named for now as he has not been charged yet for the kidnapping offence. He is alleged to have been infuriated by the bogus traditional healer who had failed to refund him his money after he had paid him an amount of E4 000 for a cleansing exercise that, apparently, did not yield the expected results. After numerous attempts to get his money back, it was gathered that the alleged bogus inyanga only managed to pay the USDF member E2 900. The infuriated soldier allegedly organised a group of people who attacked the traditional healer while he was inside his consultation room (Indumba) and bundled him into one of the vehicle and drove off with him. It is alleged that the traditional healer was severely assaulted along the way with fists, kicks and open hands while the vehicle sped off along the Mhlaleni-Manzini route. The occupants of the vehicle came across a roadblock which had been mounted along the road. A team of police officers who suspected that the USDF member was driving his vehicle while intoxicated, questioned him. During questioning, the soldier allegedly fought with the police, disputing that he was drunk. “The police had strong suspicions that the occupants of the car were drunk. Just as they were still engaging with the men, the alleged bogus inyanga screamed at the top of his voice saying ‘Inyandzaleyo’, alerting the police that he had been abducted by the group of men.
