Times Of Swaziland: GIRL (19) STABBED IN BRUTAL MURDER GIRL (19) STABBED IN BRUTAL MURDER ================================================================================ BY NTOMBI MHLONGO on 22/12/2017 00:29:00 MBABANE – A senseless and brutal murder. This is the story of a 19-year-old teenager who was stabbed by an unknown man and eventually died in hospital. The teenager, Lindelwa Gama, is said to have been stabbed twice in the chest at Corporation in Mbabane last week. The incident, which has left other residents shaken, occurred last Wednesday at around 7pm. Corporation is one of the busiest locations in the capita city, situated past Msunduza. Lindelwa is said to have been walking home, passing at a playground situated a few metres away from her home, when her attacker walked up to her. The attacker is alleged to have stopped in front of her, strangulated and stabbed her. The young woman is said to have screamed ‘inyandzaleyo’, and the attacker ran away. She then limped towards a nearby house where she is said to have found a man talking on his cellphone and screamed in vernacular saying, “Sebangigwazile”, which means ‘I have been stabbed’. At first the man did not believe her until she collapsed and he saw her bleeding. The man is said to have then called for help which saw the arrival of paramedics and family members. The teenager was rushed to the Mbabane Government Hospital where she was treated and eventually discharged on Friday at around 4pm. However, she is said to have shocked her family members when she collapsed on Tuesday evening and eventually died in hospital while undergoing treatment. Ever since the incident happened, there have been two versions on why the teenage girl was brutally stabbed. Some residents allege that the suspect may have been attempting to rob her while others have been insinuating that the man must have been a jealous boyfriend or rejected suitor. Discarded However, the version of robbery has been discarded as Lindelwa is said to have still been carrying her cellphone and money on her after the stabbing incident. The suspicion by some residents was that the incident appeared like the suspect had actually planned to attack the woman; the man being a lover or suitor though this notion was also denounced after it transpired that the teenage girl did not know her attacker.
