Times Of Swaziland: INDODA IPHILE SAKA -MZUTHINI INDODA IPHILE SAKA -MZUTHINI ================================================================================ BY SIBUSISO ZWANE on 18/07/2018 02:55:00 MANZINI – “Indoda iphile saka (I am very well).” These are the direct words of His Majesty’s Correctional Services (HMCS) Commissioner General (COMGEN) Mzuthini Ntshangase, when he cleared the air surrounding some scenes which raised people’s eyebrows during the recent Police Day and Pass-Out Parade which was held at Matsapha Police Academy last Friday. What vigilant people noted during the double celebration was that Ntshangase’s place was taken by Commissioner Phindile Dlamini when His Majesty King Mswati III was inspecting the parade. Normally, when the King inspects the parade, he is escorted by the three chiefs of the country’s security forces; Royal Eswatini Police Service (REPS), Umbutfo Eswatini Defence Force (UEDF) and HMCS. During this event, Ntshangase was present and was spotted sitting at the VIP section while Commissioner, Phindile escorted the King with Army Commander, General Sobantu Dlamini and National Commissioner of Police Isaac Magagula among other senior officers. Some of those who noted this were left with unanswered questions as some recalled that Ntshangase was whisked away in an ambulance during the Army Day and recruit pass-out parade which was held earlier this year. Cramps This was after he allegedly suffered cramps while escorting the King when he inspected the parade and his place was taken by Commissioner, Phindile until the end of the ceremony. Again, when His Majesty King Mswati III took the podium to address the passing-out police recruits and the nation, Ntshangase stood up together with the other security forces’ chiefs; General Sobantu and Police chief Isaac Magagula and escorted the King. However, while the King was delivering the keynote address, Ntshangase’s place was taken by Commissioner Phindile as he went to sit down. Notably, before the King concluded his speech, Ntshangase was back to his place. During an interview yesterday, the Correctional Services chief said he was doing well in life. He said the commissioner was seen taking his place during the ceremony because he was supposed to delegate his subordinates. “I can say this is a grooming process where she was learning how to stand in for me in such events.” Ntshangase added that the right way of grooming a person was to be present and monitor that individual so that you could coach him/her if he/she was not performing the duties as expected.
