Times Of Swaziland: FELIX BADENHORST AT SIPHO TRIAL FELIX BADENHORST AT SIPHO TRIAL ================================================================================ BY SIBUSISO SHANGE on 06/06/2019 01:58:00 MBABANE – Former Mbabane Swallows and Sihlangu player, Felix Badenhorst was yesterday among those who followed the proceedings during the continuation of murder accused Sipho Shongwe’s trial. Badenhorst, who currently plays for South African National First Division team, Mbombela United, was among the first people who arrived at the High Court at around 9:30am. He was with two unidentified men. Badenhorst was among Mbabane Swallows players who won the quarter-final match against Manzini Wanderers during Ingwenyama Cup on January 14, 2018. This was the last game before the team’s (Mbabane Swallows) director Victor Gamedze was shot dead while at the Galp Filling Station in Ezulwini. Also spotted were Mbabane Swallows fans and the team’s General Manager Sandile ‘Beyond 2 000’ Zwane. On another note, people who were interested in murder accused Sipho Shongwe’s trial waited patiently after the matter was adjourned to 2:15pm at around 11am. The public remained within the High Court premises while others went to town. When the matter resumed at 2:15pm, a majority were already seated at the public gallery. Shongwe was taken back to Sidwashini Correctional facility after the matter was adjourned at around 11am. He was brought back at 2pm for the resumption of the trial. As usual, Shongwe was escorted by heavily armed security personnel as he was brought to court escorted five vehicles which included an armoured tactic motor vehicle and a Casspir from the Royal Eswatini Police Service under Support Services Unit (OSSU). The armed officers positioned themselves strategically within the court premises while other proceeded to the courtroom where they provided security until the matter was adjourned.
