The man’s body is said to have been discovered on Sunday morning near a popular bottle store around Maguga area. Mandla Motsa, who is said to have been a resident of the area near Maguga, was reported missing, according to a relative. However, a brief search led members of the public to his body. Motsa’s body was found with stab wounds near the chest as well as in the back of his body. It is believed that he was killed elsewhere, not near the bottle store. During the search, his church uniform was discovered, giving the search party an impression that he was somewhere nearby, taking a bath in a river. However, his lifeless body was discovered a day later. The owner of the bottle store said it appeared the body of Motsa was dumped to give the impression that he may have been stabbed during a fight while enjoying alcoholic beverages at the establishment. The bottle store also has an open space where imbibers usually gather to enjoy some drinks. Apprehended On Sunday, some residents apprehended a man they suspect to have been involved in the murder of Motsa. However, Deputy Police Information and Communications Officer Inspector Nosipho Mnguni said no one had been arrested as the matter was still being investigated. A few months ago, a man was stabbed to death at the same bottle store during a fight. Meanwhile, there is still no arrest made in the murder of a man who was suspected of having stolen about E7 000 from a woman. The man is said to have been beaten by residents last Friday. He was later handed over to the police. However, he died later on Sunday while he was in police custody awaiting his appearance at the magistrates court. He is said to have been taken to the hospital on the night he was handed over to the police, but he was discharged on Saturday.
