Times Of Swaziland: ‘MAJOR V’ ASSAULTED BY PRAISE TEAM MEMBER ‘MAJOR V’ ASSAULTED BY PRAISE TEAM MEMBER ================================================================================ Mmeli Mkhwanazi on 10/10/2023 09:30:00 MBABANE – Two months after no-show for his celebrity boxing match, controversial Prophet Vusumuzi ‘Major V’ Dlamini had to face an ‘opponent’, this time around a member of his church. The congregant, who is a member of the praise team said to have assaulted the clergyman with fists and the bone contention between the duo was over a woman. The praise team member’s identity will not be revealed as no charges have been levelled against him. Sources claimed that the genesis of the scuffle between the two stemmed from a woman they both had a love interest with. It is said that last weekend, Major V visited the woman at her house, not knowing that *Musa was already there. A heated argument occurred, which was followed by a scuffle as Major V is said to have been then assaulted and went to report the matter to the Sigodvweni Police Station in Matsapha. When sought for comment, the popular prophet, whose real name is Vusumuzi Brother Dlamini, conceded that he was indeed assaulted by Musa outside the Sigodvweni Police Station. He however, claimed Musa was to blame as h his Facebook and WhatsApp applications and started sending pictures to his (Major V’s) wife where he was seen posing with other females on a number of occasions. The Mountain of Salvation Christian Church Movement founder said he would at times give Musa his cellphone to record him during sermons at his church and suspected that is when he hacked his phone. Proven Some of the allegations the prophet made about Musa cannot be repeated as they have not been proven. He said the woman in question was his girlfriend, not knowing that Musa was also in the process of courting her. A fight between the two is said to have ensued from the house as Musa questioned the prophet why he was courting his supposed girlfriend. “I was shocked to see that Musa now lived with the woman and deduced he was in a relationship with her merely for her money. On the day I went to see this woman and found her with Musa, that is when trouble started. From there, I went to the police to report the matter and further compelled him to remove the hacking device he put on my phone,” the prophet alleged. While at the police station, the prophet said they had an argument again, and Musa allegedly assaulted him on his face with fists outside the police station. “He went as far as assaulting me with fists on my face while I was inside the front passenger seat of my car, as I was chauffeured and was stopped by some police officers who then bridged a gun and stopped him from continuing with the assault,” he claimed. The prophet said he later resolved not to press charges against Musa as he said he felt that God would deal with him accordingly. As a result of this, the prophet said he could not stand in front of the pulpit this past Sunday to preach as he was nursing the wounds on his face but instead, one of the church’s pastors preached the day’s sermon. Musa could not be reached for comment for the better part of yesterday. Police Chief Police Information and Communications Officer Superintendent Phindile Vilakati said the matter was not reported to the police. When asked to confirm if the assault occurred outside the police station, Vilakati said she would not be able to comment on something that was not on record and further said she would not comment any further.
