Times Of Swaziland: PM OUTLINES HIS 5-YR PLAN IN FIRST CABINET MEET PM OUTLINES HIS 5-YR PLAN IN FIRST CABINET MEET ================================================================================ Nonduduzo Kunene on 22/11/2023 16:19:00 MBABANE – The Prime Minister (PM), Russell Dlamini, has outlined his five-year plan to Cabinet ministers. This took place during the first Cabinet meeting yesterday. The PM and Cabinet ministers meet every Tuesday to deliberate on issues of government. These meetings include, but not limited to, deliberating on different draft Bills before they are tabled in Parliament by line ministers, deliberating on policies, strategic plans, among other governmental issues. The meeting was chaired by the PM, who is the official chairman of these meetings. Confirmed Government Spokesperson Alpheous Nxumalo confirmed the meeting and further stated that the PM took the opportunity to outline his term’s vision. “Cabinet met for the first time today, Tuesday, November 21, 2023 (yesterday). The PM took the opportunity of the Cabinet meeting and outlined his vision for the next five years,” he said. Nxumalo said the PM would also take the nation into confidence and brief it on his vision. According to sources, the PM tasked all the ministers to ensure that they aligned with all the points that were raised during the recent Sibaya, which the King stated should be used to inform policies each ministry had, in ensuring they fulfilled their mandate. Improving service delivery and ensuring timely turnaround of all government projects and services was also among the many discussions that the PM highlighted.
