The French African Marketing Association, in a historic move, presented Minister Maziya with the highly-coveted and acclaimed Lifetime Africa Economy Builders Forum and Awards (Les Battisseurs de L’Economie Africaine) award. This accolade, one of the most illustrious and esteemed recognitions on the African continent, serves as a prestigious honour in recognition of her contributions to Africa’s economic growth. On a momentous occasion on July 4, the minister was presented with the distinguished Lifetime Africa Economy Builders Forum and Awards (Les Battisseurs de L’Economie Africaine) in an elegant and prestigious ceremony held in the Ivory Coast. In a press release issued yesterday, the ministry congratulated Minister Maziya for her significant achievements this year. The theme of the event was ‘Act and Impact,’ and Maziya’s leadership was praised for its wide-reaching influence across Africa, including French-speaking countries. Recognised Her contributions were recognised alongside those of other notable Lifetime Award recipients, such as Mo Ibrahim, the Sudanese-British telecommunications magnate; Sir Sam Jonah, the Ghanaian gold mining entrepreneur and Samuel Dossou-Aworet, a leading figure in the petrochemical industry. The ICT Ministry noted that the African Economy Builders Awards, established in 2006, honour African and diaspora leaders, who have achieved both national and global success, as well as multinational companies that have made significant investments in Africa. The statement highlighted that Minister Maziya was the sole recipient of the Lifetime Award this year, underscoring her status as a visionary leader and advocate for sustainable economic growth across the continent. Minister Maziya attended the event virtually as the guest of honour, joining over 300 participants from various sectors, including oil, infrastructure, hospitality, asset management and banking. The event featured leading companies and senior government officials, mostly from French-speaking countries. The Minister of Infrastructure and ICT of Ivory Coast, who presented the award, praised Minister Maziya for her exceptional contributions and strategic focus on the African continent, particularly her work in South Africa and with French-speaking nations. Additionally, Minister Maziya was recognised for her outstanding marketing excellence and leadership by the French African Marketing Association, receiving a Leadership Award that further highlights her global recognition and significant contributions to leadership and innovation.
